OnceWide is built around a simple workflow: record one clip, let the app prepare the framing, choose an aspect ratio, then save or share the export.

Email support.oncewide@gmail.com. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, OnceWide version and a brief description of what happened. Do not attach private recordings unless specifically requested and you are comfortable sharing them.

Common solutions

  • The camera or microphone is unavailableOpen iPhone Settings, find OnceWide and confirm Camera and Microphone access are enabled.
  • An export will not save to PhotosOpen iPhone Settings, find OnceWide and confirm the app is allowed to add photos. Also check that the iPhone has enough free storage.
  • The person is not kept in frameUse good lighting, keep the person reasonably visible and avoid having several similar-looking people repeatedly cross paths. OnceWide 1.0 is designed primarily to follow people rather than arbitrary products, pets or balls.
  • Processing is slowLong clips and older devices take more time. Keep OnceWide open while it prepares the framing and exports.
  • The iPhone becomes warmVideo analysis and export are demanding tasks. Allow the device to cool before processing another long clip if needed.
  • The recording or export is sidewaysInstall the latest OnceWide update and retry. When contacting support, include the orientation used and whether the phone was rotated before or during recording.
  • The app closes unexpectedlyReopen OnceWide and try a shorter recording. Include the approximate clip length and what the app was doing when it closed in your support message.

  3. Restart OnceWide and retry the recording once.
